Curriculum Enrichment

Assemblies

The Holmes PTA organizes and funds special assemblies throughout the school year. Examples of past assemblies include the DARE event, Drummin up Peace, and Mad Science Night.

Field Trips

The Holmes PTA pays $10 per student for field trips. Teachers are able to choose the destination that best enhances their curriculum.

Spelling Bee

Students in grades 1-6 put their spelling skills to the test in the classroom and then statewide. Ribbons, medals and trophies for this annual event are provided by the PTA.

Student Folders

The PTA pays for the folders that are distributed to each student throughout the school year. Homework and flyers are generally sent home in folders on Thursdays.

Teacher Supplies

The Holmes PTA gives a $200 grant to each teacher for classroom materials and supplies.
